The confirmation for the release date of the 2016 Audi Q7 has arrived. The car will make its long awaited debut at the Detroit Moto Show in January. Shortly after its official unveilence the car will be available as a production model in Audi stores. The car was supposed to make its appearance long before, but it was the last minute changes in the design of the vehicle which have pushed the release date almost a year further.
The 2016 Audi Q7 is the second generation vehicle of the Q7 brand, and the first of its kind which will use the next-generation MLB Evo platform. This platform is specially made for SUV vehicles which is yet to be proven as reliable in its use. The Audi Q7 will be the first vehicle to use it and the first one to confirm its worth.
The first Audi Q7 debuted back in 2003 and was remodeled in 2006. This is the prime period for this vehicle to get its fresh new look and be given the redesign it desperately needed.
2016 Audi Q7 Exterior
At a glance, the 2016 Q7 model is similar to the previous model’s design. It actually keeps a similar look with the addition of some evolutionary add-ons. In the front the 2016 Audi Q7 features a single frame radiator grille. With the addition of the new headlights packed with LED technology, the front part of the Audi Q7 attains a more modern look for the ages.
Also, the front end of the vehicle is slightly lower than before. These changes the vehicle’s center mass and is something innovative for a SUV vehicle. It is these kinds of changes which make the 2016 Q7 a more modern car.
At the back the Q7 keeps its tailgate design, but with more chiseled features. The added rectangular lights at the back with the chrome trim at the bottom of the doors is what makes the cool new look of the 2016 Audi Q7 happen, and it is initially what we have waited for an additional year to see. Time will tell if it was worth it to wait that long.
The first thing noticeable inside of the 2016 Audi Q7 is the modern look of the new dashboard. The dashboard has been inspired by the third generation TT and includes configurable digital instruments with and an added high definition screen. You can control your screen via a touch pad which has been neatly placed on the center console of the dashboard.
There is an option of ordering your new 2016 Audi Q7 with some custom features, like two 10.1-inch 32GB Audi tablets which are integrated in rear seatbacks, an MMI infotainment system and also in-car Wi-Fi.
If all of that is not enough for you, the comfort of the car has also been upgraded. The car will seat 7 passengers no matter the overall reduced dimensions. The passengers will feel very comfortable while driving as the Audio Q7 features some very comfy materials to compensate for lesser space. Actually the smaller space is not even noticeable at all when you sit inside the car.
